Arjen Noordeman: Bio
Born in 1975 in Haarlem.
The Netherlands.
Resides in Brooklyn, NY, U.S.A.
Graffiti piqued my interest in letter forms, color and composition. Studying graphic design added understanding of visual communication and developed my craft.
After graduating from the Arnhem Academy of Art & Design in 1998, I started Cranbrook Academy of Art three months later. At Cranbrook I met Christie who attended the Ceramics program as well as Mike Essl whom hired me as designer for the company he co-founded, The Chopping Block in New York City in 2000. After working in broadcast design in The Netherlands, I was an independent designer working with some of the best interactive design firms in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I married Christie on November 3rd in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. After that I divided my time between New York City
and Massachusetts where I was Design Director for the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.
In 2006 I founded ELASTICBRAND, llc in New York City with Christie Wright and work as Art Director, Advertising for the Nickelodeon network.
